iPod Nano With Camera

News and Reviews about iPod Nano with Camera

"iPod Nano is the world's most popular music player with over 100 million sold," says Apple's CEO, Steve Jobs. "And now we've added a video camera to its incredibly thin design, without any additional cost to the user."

The integrated video camera will let users record videos and add "special effects" such as film grain or motion blur directly from the iPod Nano.  The video may be shot in either portrait or landscape mode. The content can be synced to a computer and directly uploaded to YouTube with just one click.

It's not just the camera that's new with the newly released iPod Nano.  This baby has also an FM tuner.  What's so cool about the built-in FM radio is that it features live pause which lets users pause and resume playing a station. It also includes iTunes Tagging that allows users to tag the songs they like on the radio. The song can then be previewed and purchased from iTunes and synced back with a host computer.

But wait, there's a whole lot more to the new iPod Nano.  It also has a built-pedometer that syncs to the Nike+ software without any external transmitter. The system records the number of steps taken and calories burned. This will surely make the iPod Nano a favorite among health buffs.

The new hardware in the latest iPod Nano also allows Genius Mixes.  The Genius Mixes finds songs that go well together.  This feature in the iPod Nano automatically creates up to 12 "endless mixes" of songs from the iTunes library.

And last but not the least, the iPod Nano is even more good-looking.  It has a polished anodized aluminum exterior and comes in nine gorgeous colors. It sports a 2.2 inch display, larger than that of the previous model.  It also features voiceovers that tell listeners what is currently playing.

The new iPod Nano can provide up to 24 hours of music playback or five hours of video on a single charge.  The 8GB model can record up to 7 hours of video and 16 GB model can capture up to 14 hours. The 8GB and 16 GB models are pegged at $149 and $179, respectively.
